Try starting IE8 without add-ons and see if it works. See also this troubleshooter for IE8., this support page, and this option.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

IE8 will load up when you start to navagate to another page error pops up that it needs to close. another program has caused the problem.

If you like IE8 that's fine but I would try another browser like Firefox, Safari, Opera, or Google chrome, all are very good browsers and in my opinion far better than IE8.

Cannot get to my email vie IE8 or chrome, this started in feb.

you have stated the exact problem but try this one:

(this applies to all windows OS)
after opening the internet explorer,
click tools
click internet options
click advance tab
click reset (not the reset advance. you should also close any program, application or browser except the ie that you opened up for the reset)
after that close the browser and open it up again, try to access your email.

if that doesnt work, if you are using windows XP you could try to uninstall the IE8 so you can go back to IE7.

click start
click control panel
click add/remove program
find the IE8 then click uninstall after that restart computer>

try again access your email
i hope this helps.
Pls rate my resolution thanks!

After shortly opening IE8, a pop-up appears about a problem asking if I want to report it to Microsoft or not report it. This happens immediately if I open a second tab. I just cannot use IE8 for any...

ok just go to control pannel and click on add remove programs and look for ie8 in the drop down box. click on it and remove it. once it complete you will get your old ie back but if you never had ie7 go to cnet.com and download ie7. first remove ie8.

Won't install without error message

Excerpt from: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2009/01/26/upgrading-to-internet-explorer-8-release-candidate-1.aspx

There is 1 update required when running IE8 RC1 on multi-core XPSP2 x86 computers:
KB932823 or KB946501.
This update resolves a problem in which an access violation occurs when an application exists on a Windows XP SP2-based multi-core computer. It will be installed automatically if you select “Install the latest updates” option in Setup Wizard. If this update fails to install successfully, IE8 installation will be blocked until you manually install this update from Microsoft Download Center.
So see if you can do a manual install of this update. There are a number of other suggestions in the above link that might also help.

Good Luck!
