There are special repair centres fir water damage. Not sure you can find one close to you. You could try to put the camera in a bag of rice, and contact a Nikon certified service centre immediately. First ask them if they can repair and then what it will cost. Could be expensive, so i think you should start saving for a new camera.

Could anyone recommend me the best service center in Cairo downtown for repairing my Nikon D5100 camera?

Letting it dry out in a nice warm location before seeing if it worked would have been the best solution. It is likely that a lot of electrical damage has taken place and the cost of repair to the camera body my outweigh the cost of a new body. You may pay out a lot for the repair and have re-occurring problems. personally, I would cut my losses and buy a ne body for the camera.

Hi My Nikon D5100 camera giving a sin of Autoexposure error. Contact a Nikon authorized representative message after it's drooped from my tripod on the deck floor (Wooden Floor). The Nikon55-300mm

There is no way to really answer this question as the camera was dropped. If it was dropped with the lens, then the problem could be either in the body or the lens (or both). If you have another lens try it and see if you get the same result. Otherwise you are probably going to have to take it to the shop or send it to Nikon

Is adding grip for nikon d5100 solve the problem of auto focus with sigma 170-500 lens

No. This lens lacks an autofocus motor, relying on the camera to have one. The D5100 lacks an autofocus motor, relying on the lens to have one. Adding a battery grip does not change this situation.

The D5100 only autofocuses with lenses having an internal autofocus motor. Nikon designates such lenses AF-S, Sigma calls it HSM. Lenses without the motor will only autofocus with the larger and heavier Nikon cameras such as the D7000.

Lens not attached

Based on the fact that you asked this basic question, I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX THE CAMERA YOURSELF! The problem you describe requires the services of a knowledgable camera repair man. I recommend that you go on Nikon's website and find the location of the nearest Nikon repair depot and follow instructions for return of your camera. Ask them for a repair estimate before they proceed with the work.

Can I use one nikon d5100 with one sakar mc zoom 80-200 No. 803489

If your lens has a Nikon mount then yes, you can use it on the D5100. You'll have to switch to the Manual exposure mode and you won't get any exposure help from the camera's light meter.

Can I use Quantaray AF 28-90mm f/3.5-5.6 in a NIKON D5100? Thanks.

Quantaray makes lenses with a variety of mounts for a variety of cameras. A lens with a Sony mount, for example, will not fit onto a Nikon camera. Assuming the lens has a Nikon mount, it will fit on the D5100. However, the D5100 requires the lens to have an autofocus motor. If the lens does not have such a motor then it will not autofocus. It will still work fine as a manual focus lens.

I own a pair of 8 x 40 EGRET II Nicon Binoculars that I've enjoyed for a number of years. Recently they fell from their storage place and now the right and left imiages don't line up. I'm also not sure...

I would recommend you give Nikon a call. You can reach them in the US at 1-800-645-6687. This may be covered under their current No Fault Policy, in which case it shouldn't cost more than $10 to get them repaired or replaced.

Ben
