I purchased a 32'' LCD that is digital tv 2 yrs ago. after the DTV switch i did a channel scan and it only found analog channels and no digital, i called the cable company and assured me they are all digital, whats up?

When you set up the tuner select analog + DTV and then do a channel search.

Yes this tv dose have a digital tuner inside of it,all flats LCD and Plasma tvs are Digital tvs they all can get free DTV air broadcasting tv channels.All digital flats LCD and Plasma tvs are DTV set u just require a very good like a roof Antenna or a newly Digital design portable Antenna connected the tv incomming air broastcasting signal cable back of to the flats screen tvs at the axail input call ANT.Then go into the tv menu.Goto setup go down pick AIR than press the enter button for scanning for free DTV air broadcasting channels.After the tv finish scanning for channels than the tv will let ur tv to get all the free DTV broadcasting channels.

U want free air DTV?Yes,have a good Digital antena or a roof antena hood up to ur tv.Goto the tv menu.Goto SETUP go down to Ch.setup enter and pick AIR not CABLE.Enter it again for scanning for DTV free air channels.After done the scanning u should have all the free DTV free air channels.

go to setting and factory reset when it comes up it will ask you to scan channels analog digital or both click both

You may need a DTV converter, or setup channel scan for both analog TV and then digital TV?

Seeing as it does not have a digital tuner in it, I would think this would be the problem, you will have to get a box for it.

Look in your manual for a channel scan entry. It should be an item in your setup menu. What this does is re-scan for all the signals it can receive.
Once the scan is done, it should display all the channels that are viewable in your area

Your TV probably does not have a digital tuner connected to the DTV/ANT input. Mine didn't. I had to connect the digital antenna to a digital converter box THEN go to the DTV/ANT input. Only then would it activate the DTV menu and allow me to scan for channels. If your TV worked fine with Cable TV connected to the input, it was because your signal was coming from the digital tuner in your DVR, or your cable provider was sending you an unscrambled digital signal (not likely).
I used a digital converter box I had purchased with the government $40 coupon back in 2009 but the resolution is only 480 and looks like a Monet or Renoir. Now I am shopping for a high quality tuner.

If you scan your channels you will find out if it is digital. Say for instance you get channels 2-1, 16-3, 12-2, 12-3, then your TV is digital. Now if all your channels have no dashes and your channels come up 2, 12, 9, 16, and so on then you have an analog TV. Since this is a walmart brand there is not any online support that I can see. If you bought this a few years ago then again your tv is more than likely analog.

i just saw a post which I believe will solve my problem (I connected to the wrong coax antenna plug). I haven't tried, but I'm pretty sure that is the problem.

Look at the back of your TV. Make sure your cable is hooked up to connector on far right, NOT the far left. (For analog cable TV.)

Push "source" button on remote or side of TV to cycle through TV inputs. Wait one second between pushes. You want to stop just before the source that displays "AV" on TV screen. It should show a number, for the current channel number.

If you are using an analog cable box, try setting the TV channel to 3 or 4. If you use no cable box, try changing channels on TV to find an active one. If no luck, make sure your cable service is active (subscription active). Cable companies disconnect it between residents of an apartment/house.
