Unable to find the Troybilt deck V belt that fits my 2002

Unable to find the deck V belt that fits my 2002 troybilt 46'' model 13CU609H063. It turns all 3 blades and probably should be approx 36'' in length. The known replacement belt per 4 different stores 754-0486A is too short.

Thank you for your help. We purchased that one and it's too long... Do you have any other suggestions? My husband is a very knowlegeable mechanic and this is becoming a real irritation to us...

You are correct, it was the right belt. That was exactly the problem. The belt does not make a big triangle as per the diagram. A little confusing, but we got it together and the mower for right now is working again. Thank you so much for all your help and patience :)

If it's the belt that just runs on the deck and not the one that goes to the engine, it is a 954-0349

I don't know what to tll you, that is the belt number. Secondary belt # 954-0349 and primary belt #954-0486A. Possibly not routed right? Check it out here... http://www.buymtdonline.com/webapp/wcs/s..." target="_blank" rel="nofollow" http://mtdparts.arinet.com/scripts/Empar... Enter brand (Troy Bilt) and model # (13CU609H063) then click on Mower Deck. That gives you diagram and part #'s.

After thinking about it, a lot of people make a common mistake in routing the 954-0349 (secondary belt). The belt, as you can see does not make a big 'triangle'. It goes straight across the back between the outside blade pulleys, then the right side goes over the center blade pulley then goes underneath the spring loaded idler pulley (on the left of center) to the left blade pulley. Hope that helps. Dwain

Do you know how the springs go I have the same mower and the belt that goes to the engine pully seems to be to big if I hold the pto handle up it is ok but when I pull it down to shut off the blades the belt pops off I got the mower with the deck off so I think the springs are not right do you have a photo of how the deck looks all together thank you [email protected]

I Have A Troy Bilt Pony 42" Deck How Long Is The Deck Belt Inch Wise

Most TroyBilt mowers conveniently have belt part numbers on a label underneath the hood. Enter the part number at TroyBilt parts page https://www.troybilt.com/equipment/troybilt/OwnersCenterLandingView?catalogId=14102&langId=-1&storeId=10001 and it will likely have belt length in the description.
