Dear Its the problem with LSU (laser scanning unit).
Pl. do as.
1-clear error list in service mode.
2-check all harness to LSU.
3- Clean all optical path, ie. lenses inside LSU with lint free cotton cloth only including polygon motor.
4-cross check LSU
5-Cross check DC-CON card.

c 440 is a fuser problem switch off machine hold down 0+8 while switching the machine back on when the machine is in test mode enter 400 and make the value 0 switch off and wait 30 secs and switch on if the problem persists replace thermistors and thermo fuse and think of updating the firmware

TEST MODE 0888 START .

They are NOT compatible with *********** Board. See one is single core & the other Dual Core, & your BIOS isn't programed to use the Dual Core.

po 140 is downstream o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 insufficient activity,and po 440 all my book says is evap system hope this helps

I don't have a solution we bought another camera. but our 710 is not very old and would like to get thisone fixed but will not pay $100 just to get it checked

I have a Quantaray 100-300 which also displays an Err99 when used in automatic mode. The only way I can use this lens is in AV mode and select the widest aperture.
