My canon p126-d calulates but will not print

How can i make the canon p126-d adding machine print? it does the calculation but will not print - the ribbon has been changed

SOURCE: need to replace ribbon on canon mp25dv calculator

remove the printer cover, insert one spool on the left side pin, guide the ribbon though printer and inset other spool on right pin. make sure the ribbon looks like a C with the ribbon coming around the outside of each spool.

Paper loads into slot at end of machine. After inserting end into the slot (at rear, near power cord connection) press feed button until paper advance thru top.

Why doesn't the equal button work when I do additions and subtractions?

Your calculator is fine. It is an adding machine first, so it uses adding machine logic and you hit the star button to print the total on the tape. The equals sign is only used when multiplying and dividing.

Adding machine logic is as follows:

5+ total 5
3- total 2
7+ total 9
* print out total
