I just bought the car at auction and when it arrived I could tell it was running pretty rough. Here is what I know: -Catalytic Converters removed leaving about 2 feet of exhaust piping completely removed -It drives, but with the gas pedal to the floor it is very slow acceleration, no more than 20-25 mph, and never gets up enough to need to shift -Minor issue (however not sure if it could be related) the electronic display in the middle of the gauge cluster that would normally display mpg, miles left until empty, the clock, etc... doesn't work either Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Probably a, or both front CV (constantly variable) joints in the front half-shafts (the driveshafts that run from your transmission to both your front wheels) are going bad. Not a too uncommon problem. They run about 150-160$ Canadian dollars a piece for remanufactured front shafts (from NAPA Auto Parts). Not too sure about labour cost, could be a few hundred dollars.

If your car has a alarm system on it ...it may be causing conflicts within the computer brain contact your dealer and mention this to them...Good Luck

Silly question: Have you checked the transmission fluid level, and is it to manufacturer's spec?

sounds more like a air control /sensor but its difficult to diagnose from spain without seeing the car ,sorry for being able to give a quick fix

It sounds like there may be an issue with your ignition system.
Check the ignition wires, distributor cap, spark plugs.
