Hello, I have an LG RE-32FZ10PX which powers on but there is no picture or sound, just a black screen. After about 5-10 seconds the TV switches to standby. Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem could be or is this just a bin job now? Thanks

Hey up, Im affaid to say that i will be no help to you on this occasion but i have EXACLY the same problem. I have had a free quote from a (so-called) tv expert and he reckons that it sounds like either a loose connecton or could be dry or dirty connections. If it is simply that it should cost around £50 to £60 but until he takes it and opens it up he cant really say wheather some other componants have gone in it. If they have it will cost for the new part and the fitting (price unknown).
The fella said he was going on holiday for 3 week and will get in touch when he gets back, will wait a couple more days then give him a ring. If i find anything out i'll let you know. (could you do same for me please? my email is [email protected] cheers.

Oh, question for you! After i have tried turning it on a few times i can smell like a faint electrical burning smell from the back grill (near where the power cable goes into it). Does your's have the same problem?
