Question about Daewoo DV-6T834 DVD Player/VCR
My child was impatient with the dvd player and kept pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button and the PLAY button when trying to start a movie. Now the player will not recognize any dvds at all. I did make sure that the dvd zone was set at "1", and also tried that at "0", but there was no change. We have broken three dvd players in the past year including one that no longer opens the tray to put in a dvd. I am hoping to fix the "no disc" player.
Could a foreign object have been inserted into the tray? I have seen labels peel off and stick inside the mechanism, preventing it from reading the DVD. Also try unplugging it from the wall, let it sit for a few minutes (for the logic circuits to reset) then plug back in. Just turning it off does not reset the logic...
