The memory card of your PSP needs to be checked. Since you can't save data andgame on it, it's showing that the memory is not properly connected, intact orworst case defective. You can still diagnose the problem by doing these steps:
1. Turn off the PSP.
2. Now take the memory stick out then check if pins are clean.
3. If it continues not to work after checking the pin, try to check the memorycard using your PC. You can simply open the card via card reader.
4. If your PC cannot detect the memory card, it means that the memory card isnow defective. Now it's time for you to buy a new memory card.
What you can do here first is to save all the data of your memory card to your computer and then after that format the memory card using the format option on your PSP....
Make room free on your ps3's harddisk, this is where al data on your ps3 is stored. Some games install alot game data, resulting in a harddisk thats is full. Remove game data from games that you're not planning to play any more soon.
this is how u tranfer ur save games. got to save data press x than choose ur save data that u want to copy press tiangle press copy than it will ask u to take it out andput the other memory than press ok and that how u tranfer ur save data to another memory card. if u want to move ur games hook it up to ur computer and transfer ur games to ur computer than to the other psp
updating is usually not a problem. If your memory card, was very cheap or is kind of old. chances are it has gone bad by now. try connecting the psp to your computer, go to the iso folder, and check if there are any games there. If there aren't than try downloading games again. However they will probably get deleted sooner or later. Only way I see it , is you need a new memory stick
