Just trying to get a console log i have the settings 9600, 8, 1, n.
The 2010 is a legacy KVM DSR, and you might not have the same features that are present on the 8035 model. the settings to connect to the 2010 with a NullModem cable are 9600, 8, none, 1, none (same as Cisco settings).
The 8035 comes with a special adaptor which is DB9 to RJ45 and it comes in the box.
I hope that answers your question.
As far as console logs goes, no such thing on the DSR line.
For those who have older hardware and need to find out how to wire the device for console setup access. Pinout is as follows:
RJ45
1: nc
2: DSR (DB9 pin 6)
3: nc
4: RxD (DB9 pin 3)
5: TxD (DB9 pin 2)
6: Ground (DB9 pin 5)
7: DTR (DB9 pin 4)
8: nc
DB9 (female)
1: nc
2: TxD (RJ45 pin 5)
3: RxD (RJ45 pin 4)
4: DTR (RJ45 pin 7)
5: Ground (RJ45 pin 6)
6: DSR (RJ45 pin 2)
7: nc
8: nc
9: nc
I just want to throw out here that for about $20 you can get the dsr-8035 and dsr-2035 adapter and cat5 cable custom build from stonewallcable.com. The part numbers are 210095 Eq. Equinox Modular Adapter (Product Code SC-3644), and 690226 Eq. Equinox Cable (Product Code SC-3142). Plug the cat5 in the setup port, the adapter on the other end, and the DB-9 end of the adapter into a serial port.
Also of note, the dsriq-srl is not necessary or usefull. I never got it working properly, and the required power supply is uncommon and expensive. Skip it, use the adapter and cable above and you'll have full console access from the setup port.
I hope this helps someone down the road, since 3 weeks and $145 later, here is the only working solution.
