Just installed the 9883. Great stereo but I cannot get the AUX to work. I installed the recommended AUX cable from Crutchfield but when I plug in my MP3 player, I cannot select the AUX input from the Source button. In setup, AUX in is on.

Same issue - no matter how many different cables and settings I try, the aux input does nothing.

i have the same problem, but i get a little bit of sound, a constant level, at volume level 0 it is off and anywhere from 1-35 is the same constant level. im using the bigger plug, the one that splits off to the RCAs then a mini jack into RCA hooked up to my PSP.

Great product, but the MP3 player sound can not be controlled by the CDA-9883. The only way to control the output level of the speakers connected to the CDA-9883 is to use the volume control on the MP3 player.

Connecting mp3 car radio

If you radio has an Aux input then you can connect a audio cable from your MP3 player to the Aux input on your radio.
If your radio does not have an Aux input the you can use a FM transmitter device. Connect the MP3 player to the FM transmitter and tune your FM radio to the radio frequency on this FM adapter to listen to your audio book on your MP3 player.
Check out these WEB sites fro FM transmitters.

MP3 players shuts off randomly but only when hooked up to aux. input on car stereo.

Its own battery cell is weak or dead that it cannot stand on its own but works well when hooked with a car stereo. So you need to replace it.

Jensen cd 2610 aux input has little volume

first of all the rca jacks in the back of your radio are for plugging in an amp, not your mp3 player. there should be an auxiliary jack(looks like a headphones jack) in the front of the head unit. if there is no auxiliary jack in the front then you will have to go buy a new head unit with an auxiliary jack.

Need a diagram to hook my Bose CinemaT speakers. When I hook it directly to the tv no problem but can't figure out how to hookup my reciever and CD player to work also? Help Please

You'd be better off hooking the speakers to the RECEIVER'S speaker outputs, THEN hooking your TV audio output to an unused receiver input, such as AUX. The signals from your receiver cannot reach the TV; thus your CD player and radio will not play through the speakers if the speakers are hooked to the TV. All receiver INPUTS are designed to accept the same signal level; thus, you can use any input for your TV audio, such as Aux, DVD, CD, etc. Just remember which input you're using for the TV audio, and everything should work fine. Almost all receivers have an AUX input; hopefully yours also has a dedicated CD input to avoid confusion. The you simply select the AUX input to hear your TV through the speakers.
