If you have a computer and a DVD burner you can use a computer software to remove the region protection from a dvd and then burn the movie into a new dvd disc without the protection and the movie will play on the player.

heres one software you can use:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/tools?tool=DVDFab_Decrypter

Region unlock is not available on all dvd players so this is the only work around possible.

Yes there is a region code which by default is at zero. The region setting can be changed to conform with your regional code to enable the DVD output to match that regions standards. However, remember it can be changed only 5 times after which it retains the last code used by the player and cannot be changed ever again. Its better to keep it at zero so as to enable playback anywhere, irrespective of region. That is also advised by the manufacturer. so remember you cant switch the region code only 5 times...................................sodeep
PS. The region codes are present in the pull down menu

What is the exact model number of your Panasonic DVD player? You may try using one of these codes:

0082 0015 0089 0004 00F2 0033 0017 0010 0091 0013

If none of these codes work, you may want to try hacking the code. But the steps below is not confirmed yet. Here's how:

Region Free hack
1. Turn the DVD player on
2. Hit Setup on the remote control
3. Press 8888
4. Press Next button ( >>| )
5. "Version" menu should show up on the Screen
6. Select "Version" menu, select "Region Code" and choose 0 by pressing the down arrow on your remote.
7. Click Setup to exit

Hope it helps and have a great day!

Looking for the regional code for a Panasonic DMR-EZ47V DVD/VCR combo in Australia and a Panasonic DMR-ES30V DVD/VCR combo. Can you please tell me how you put the code in. Thanks

Region codes are preset in the DVD unit. DVDs are encoded with a region code and are only playable if the DVD player is programmed with the same code as the DVD itself. If you want to play Australian DVDs, you will want to use code 4. There are 9 codes. Check below to find out what region each code is for:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_code

You usually may only change a region code 3 times before it becomes permanent. You need to enter the menu-setup options in your DVD player and you'll want to look for "region code".
