Gateway M350WVN false fan error on boot was resolved with a Phoenix BIOS update. The notebook now boots normally.

There may be more than one fan-- there also is a setting in the BIOS to disable the fan warning if you are SURE that the fan it is monitoring is working correctly.

I have a Dell, recently (this week) when I turn it on I get a black screen with a message regarding the AC power can't be found but once I hit F1 it takes me to my usual screen to log on to my computer....

Two things that may be wrong here. You may have a power supply problem which requires a replacement and the other is a keyboard problem. Sometimes when the keyboard is defective, certain keys continue to be depressed and therefore forces the computer to process those commands. Therefore, slows down the computer.

My laptop doesnt turn on, says something about hard drive

You'll have to be a bit more specific about the error message.
If it says Invalid System Disk or NTLDR missing, you may be looking at a damaged booting sequence.
If it reports a SMART error and asks you to hit one of the Function keys (F1 or F10) then you're looking at a probable hard drive failure
There are many ways that can go wrong, but to determine exactly what it is, you'll need to explain how the laptop behaves and what the error message is. Also, see that you don't have any DVDs or USB sticks attached during bootup.

UnKnow Bios error Error Code =8302 Sr, Computer Opening No Display ....F1 Press Continue Display Ok

Hi, this can be caused by a BIOS update or a faulty motherboard battery. You can reset BIOS to default settings by pressing the F1 key during bootup, which will take you to the BIOS screen.

I hit F1 key and screen is black...been in phone with Dell for over 45 minutes...help I am on another pc

when you hit F1 key it was on the Dell screen logo right? so after hitting the key F1 it just go straight black screen with a cursor?

since you where able to get display try. 1. turn off laptop make sure ac adapter is plug in. 2. while laptop is off press and hold on the Fn key then press power while pressing on Fn. 3. Check if a self-assessment will display and run on the screen. Just follow the prompt messages on the screen to guide you for the error messages which will help you to identify the problem.

After turning it on it reads "press f1 to resume ;f10 to set up"

Hi I'm sorry, what is the message it shows? If it says "press F1 to continue" then do so, hit F8 and try "safe mode"
Really need to know what the message is.
Good luck
