I also had this problem and thought my music players were broken. The media players displayed the songs as 00:00:00 even when the file info read that it took up space and had a song length. The music player displayed that m506 error message.
I looked through forms for an answer, and I noticed I didn't try messing with one thing: THE BATTERY.
Try taking the battery out of your phone and putting it back in. It worked for me! My music players work again!

Hi, Instead of playing mp3 player directly, go to the folder where you have saved your songs and play a song.If this will play with the music player then go to the music player at the same time by going back.
Otherwise, eject the memory card and then re-enter. Try to play mp3 player.
i had the same problem with my lg music phone, what i did i checked all the details of the songs, and the one that i couldnt play had different bit rate, looks like that affect a lot on the songs, the phone have different bit rates taht the pcs and other stuffs, mine supports only 320bit rate and the song was at 156bit rates, so i downloaded a converter u can use it and try that. i used this one http://www.mymusictools.com/audio_converters_4/4musics_mp3_bitrate_changer_17930.htm
hope it will be usefull. bye
Your VX8300 can only play .wma files .. so if there's any .mp3 on there it's going to say that. Also, if you recently put on new files try taking them off then trying the card again .. .if that works then one of your new files are corrupt/unreadable
Another thing to try: goto: Get it now .. music n tones....my music ...songs ...options...reinitialize library database. ( Be warned, you may lose some files this way so make sure everything is backed up on your PC)
