My lasko fan stopped blowing air

The rotation gears have gotten clogged up, take it apart and put some grease or oil in the rotation parts/gears and work it in until it spins freely. Will work like a charge afterward. I had to do it once myself already.

Loud noises from Lasko fan motor?

The problem most likely lies within the fan motor of your Lasko unit. I just got fed up with my Lasko tower fan (model 2515) making a rumbling noise on and off and so I took apart the entire thing. I found the noise to be coming from the Decomin 2033014 motor in the unit. Took apart the motor and found that it is so cheap that it doesn't even have bearings! Just a few plastic discs on a spindle. I tried greasing the discs again but it didn't work. The only solution is to get a new motor. I am really disappointed in the quality of these Lasko fans.

I would love to tell you yes, but I ended up buying new fan.
The common wire was broken, buried in the windings and no way to repair without
damaging the windings.
Could not find anything on line.

It sounds like the electronic controls have put the fan into "breeze mode". The fan turns slowly then is supposed to surge back to high. Some people love this feature for some reason...
Disable breeze mode via your remote (its the button with the stacked ~'s).

A bad motor wouldn't rotate at all. The only other problem might be the motor's running capacitor. If you can start the fan in either direction (give it a hand spin in the opposite direction of rotation) you have a bad capacitor...and you can find a replacement anywhere (Radio Shack).
