Dishwasher start is intermittent. Sometimes won't

Dishwasher start is intermittent. Sometimes won't operate fiddle with the door, baskets then ready timer light comes on and sometimes not. On the other hand when its okay ready timer light is good and opening and closing door switch is stable and repeatable. Is their some other sensor that stops timer ready light. Sears Brand. Moving bins with door open and screw driver to bypass latch and its stable and on. Otherwise operation is normal and stable. Just plays dead sometimes.

Stops frequently during cycle. Not at the same point. Pushing the start button successfully starts the machine again.

Possibly door switch is going intermittent. Machine *thinks* you've opened the door.
Can also be pressure against the door.... Are you overloading the machine? are the baskets in the correct way round? are the baskets bent?

Sounds like a door switch problem. Relays can stick too so tap them to release, they may need to be replaced

I have a Bosch SHU9955US/14 (Integra) dishwasher. There is currently a 0 with and asterisk showing on the display and the unit will not run.

Thermal Fuse If the dishwasher won't start the thermal fuse might have blown. The thermal fuse helps to prevent damage to the dishwasher by turning off power so that it doesn't overheat. Once blown, the thermal fuse will have to be replaced for the dishwasher to work.

Door Switch The door switch, or switches, are sometimes called interlock switches. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the dishwasher won't start, the switch or switches might be defective. To access the door switches, remove the control panel or inside door panel - depending on the model. They can be tested for continuity.

Main Control Board The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher. If the dishwasher won't start the main control board might be defective. YOU should first check for more common parts. Many times control boards are replaced unnecessarily because the problem was not diagnosed properly.

Touchpad and Control Panel If the touchpad is defective, the control board might not get the signal for the selections made. If the dishwasher won't start and the display doesn't seem to change properly when the buttons are pressed, the touchpad might need to be replaced. On some models the touchpad and control panel are sold together and will need to be replaced at the same time.

Touchpad If the touchpad is defective, the control board might not get the signal for the selections made. If the dishwasher won't start and the display doesn't seem to change properly when the buttons are pressed, the touchpad might need to be replaced.

Timer The timer allows power to flow to the proper parts at the proper times. If the dishwasher won't start, the timer might be defective. Keep in mind that timers are often misdiagnosed as the cause of a problem. Check other components first before replacing the timer.

Usermanual for old ADMIRAL dishwasher model number BDUR 41400

right. first of all there are usually three settings one is intence 2 is normal and three is pans. or the other way round. cannot remember. but put nothing in and turn it on by closing the door. turning the knob and pressing the start button when selection is made if no button to start it just select a program and see which one lasts the longest thats the pan one. use dishwasher tables either in the little basket hanging in there or in the door there is a slide thing. put tablet in there and fiddle till it stays shut. then close the door. after loading with stuff. at the bottom will be an unscrewable white knob put some dishwasher salts in there every few months. it keeps the water soft. there is also a filter in the bottom you can lift out to clean a round thing within a mesh grid. that must be reg checked for bits of dinner and stuff. try and get the bets off first. dont put beans and things left on plates and pans in cloggs up. try contacting supplyer for instruction manual. if you cannot thats all you need to know really. hope that helps. liz

There are a number of parts houses on the web which will gladly sell you the item you need, depending on your location. Repairclinic in the US has these items. Bosch probably sells them direct.

Dishwasher won't start...

most common fault is door switch. Do the lights stay on with the door opened? If so, this may be the problem. Otherwise may be the timer switch or the water valve. If it's the water valve the pump should come on when the timer knob is turned and the drain cycle is actuated. Othwise it's probably the door switch or the timer. If it was intermittant and banging on it made it work before it may just be a loose connection.
