Question about Sanyo Katana Eclipse X Cell Phone

Usb cable not detected by phone

I attached my usb cable from the phone to my computer. The computer doesn't see it, and the phone doesn't see it. However, the phone is still now charging its battery through the USB cable! This is a Sanyo Katana Eclipse. It's a nice phone, but I wonder if the 8G card I got for it is worth it if I can't load it up!

Thanks, but there is no "phone settings" menu that provides any of this sort of information. I wonder if it's a driver problem in the phone

Computer doesn't recognize garmin

Your computer uses USB Mass Storage Mode to detect your Garmin unit. If your computer does not detect your Garmin unit, you can try these troubleshooting steps:

Unplug the USB cable from the computer.
Turn the unit off and then back on again.
Plug the USB cable into your computer.
The unit either automatically goes into USB Mass Storage Mode or displays USB Mass Storage Mode as an option on the screen.

Note: If your computer still does not detect the unit, make sure that you plug the USB cable directly into the computer USB port and not the USB hub. If the cable is already plugged directly into the computer, try plugging it into a different port.

If you still experience problems, please contact Product Support.

Problem Detecting a USB Hard drive or a USB Device
If your computer or laptop has a problem detecting a USB hard drive or a USB device, and another computer can detect it, then the problem could be a RF interference problem.
Then this may help.
Try using an USB cable that is a shielded USB cable (ie. An USB cable that has a clear plastic covering and you can see a metallic weave which covers the wires) OR a USB cable that has a Ferrite core attached to the USB cable (the ferrite core is a cylindrical object approximately 30mm long X 15mm diameter and it is attached to the USB cable near the connector).
