My D80 was purchased in April 2008 along with the Nikkor 18-200mm VR zoom lens. The camera and lens worked flawlesly until this past week end. The cameral stopped focusing in auto mode with no warning. I did hear a whining noise when I tried a Tamron 11-18mm wide angle lens. The auto focus did not work with that lens either.
