HP 6310 ALL IN ONE software will not install scan

I have tried to install the HP 6310 all-in-one software in a Vista HP Intel Pentium Dual-Core Desktop Processor E2200. All is well for both the printer and the fax but not the scanner. It is very frustrating .. I have downloaded and re installed and the problem persists. My computer does not recognize the scanner nor does it recognize ANY HP devices .. so the HP Solution Center closes automatically. When I've tried to scan it says: "No Scan Options .. refer to device documentation" HP 6310 ALL IN ONE

Assuming you're using Windows XP, you either need to install the full software suite (to access copy, scan, fax and print features), or if you don't have the CD, download the package here:

This may not be the solution for you, but it worked for me. I just shut down and restarted my printer a few times. It seems that if you leave it on all day and night, the printer gets stupid. If you restart a few times, it gets healthy again. It worked for me, and I had the same error message, and I just finished scanning 4 pages.

This issue is common with every HP scanning software used with Windows OS which have a firewall running.

If you would try the following:

- check the task bar if HP digital imaging monitor is up and running
- if not, go to C:\program files\hp\digital imaging\bin and double click the file HPQTRA08.EXE
- now the monitor should run
- if not, pls reinstall the software (*)
- if yes, pls try to open HP solution center

- if solution center starts, pls try to scan or to fax
- if successful, no other steps are required

- if faxing is not successful, check in the printer folder, if you find a HP <device name> series fax entry
- if you cannot find it, unplug the printer and delete the entries in both the printer folder and scanner folder
- also run the software CD and start the uninstall_l1.bat and uninstall_l2.bat in the util\CCC on the CD (if 64 bit OS, the run the 64 bit versions)
- restart the PC with the loaded CD
- replug the printer and let it be reinstalled

(*) For a clean reinstall it is recommended to contact HP support. They know the best way to leave a clean system on the PC.

SOURCE: When trying to scan to my HP J4580 Officejet J4580

this means the printer has not been configured to the computer,,
1st check the connection of the printer and the computer,,
then check if all the software like the basic print and scan drivers, hp solution center and the hp imaging device function had been installed or not,,
if all the above things had been checked then
open hp solution center,,
click settings,,
go to scan settings,,
select scan to set up.....,,
you will get two columns there,,
the left will be for the solution center and the right one will be for the printer,,
you will see two arrows in between the columns,,
populate the entries on the printer that is on the right column using the arrowes,,
once done click update device,,
then close the olution center and restart the printer,,
then check it will work................

What type of dual core processor can I use for my dc7600?

Unfortunately, these are old processors and I don't see any available new. Newegg.com lists a couple available as refurbished. You may be better off getting a new computer with either a Intel I3 or current AMD processor.

Depends on the socket type.. Socket 423 and 478 do not support core duo or quad core processor types. However, if you have LGA 775 (aka socket T) your motherboard will support the following:

The LAn drivers installed automatically when you run recovery CD, otherwise you can download drivers from here and install

CONFUSION WITH INTEL CORE DUO AND INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE!


You are worrying about nothing.

Intel Pentium Dual Core and Intel Celeron Dual Core are both Intel Core Dual processors.

The performance rate is mesured compared to a single core processor so your 2.2GHz dual core will do the same amount of work as a 4.95GHz single core.

Can I install on a pentium dual core


Almost certainly. Its more of a question of if the Photo Explosion software is going to work with your version of Windows. There is no harm in trying to install it though. If it doesn't work, you'll be able to uninstall it.
