Check your filter. If its really plugged that would cause to ice up or if its low on refigerant that would also cause to ice up.

I have carrier heat and air model numbers 58sx and 38tg what sizes are these

You need more information to get the size. The Carrier 58sx series includes 5 different models: 40 - 41000 BTUH, 60 - 61000 BTUH, 80 - 81000BTUH, 100 - 102000 BTUH, 120 - 122000BTUH. An installation guide for the 58sx is available here: . The Carrier 38tg has 6 different sizes (020 - 20,000BTUH through 050 - 50,000BTUH). The other sizes are 025, 030, 035, 040 and the capacity is that number multiplied by 1000.)

To determine your model's capacity, look at the full product number. The first three numbers after the 58sx or 38tg will indicate the nominal capacity.

I hope this helps.

My air conditioner line is freezing and no air is coming out of the vents

Shut it down for a few hours and let it De-ice the evap coil is iced up/ check your filters and change them.. Oh to speed things up a bit. Just shut the cooling off and leave the fan on that will speed it up. You should see ice or condensate on the line. But set your stat to 74 and close doors to rooms not in use..

I have a carrier air conditioner model 38CKC024340 it cool the house sometimes, then a block of ice will form on the unit outside and it stops cooling, what could be the problem

Have you changed the air filter?

The 2 main reasons for frozen units in cooling mode 1. Not enough air flow. 2. Low on refrigerant.

You can fix #1.
#2 will require a service call.

you will need to clean the coils, with a water hose. make sure you have the power off. This will de-ice the unit. as it is either diry coils or low freon

Air conditioner runs but no air comeing threw vents

Hi make sure the indoor blower is running first of all. Check to see where the blower motor is that it is not iced up. This happens when you don't have enough return air back to the unit. I have see these coils have a solid block of ice 4" thick on them. Check this and the motor and you will find the problem. You will have to de-ice it. Check the coil to see if it is dirty also. Clean if needed.

Carrier heat pump has ice on outside pipe leading to unit. Air not cold inside. Any suggestions???

this is sign of low freon. you have a leak and ice is clogging the interior coils so little or no aire can pass thru it. Cut it off and find the leak.
