Question about LG TROMM WM2688H 4.0 cu.ft. Front Loading SteamWasher
I have a suggestion.
If you dry with Dryer sheets, the little downy felty waxy feeling sheets that make your clothes smell artificially fresh. If so,, clean your lint tray.. really clean it, try first running water over it and see if the water pools or not. If your filter looks clean but the water pools, than that means the dryer sheets have built up a waxy film that is very hard to see and there is not proper air flow, that could cause the dryer to heat up. scrub the lint filter with a little toothbrush, hot water, maybe a little suds.. It'tt also keep your house from buring down.. thank Downy.! :-)

Sounds like drive belt or drum supports, if the drier is gas I would check it out, could cause a fire, if it is electric still check to make sure it is not rubbing on the electric heat element, or it could be full of lint which is catching fire during normal operation and melting or burning the belt or drum supports.
