Mine was doing that then it quit even turning on so I replaced the 4 Capacitors today on the power supply board that had bulged up on the top 3 had split open they where on the top right corner of the board where the ribbon jumps from the power board to the main board with ones from Jameco Part Number 606521 they worked perfect but make sure you put them in with the correct polarity easy to do just keep an eye on it. Very simple repair and took me about 30 min to take itapart solder on the new ones and put it back together all for under $10.

The capitors on the back might be bad this I have fixed on these tv's many times. That could be one of the problems and the capitors are on the power board inside the tv. If you do not know how to work on electronics I would have a pro do it they contain hight voltage so be careful if you try to fix it yourself.thanks

Tv cycles on and off repeatedly while plugged in.

Samsung caps
http://www.avforums.com/forums/attachments/lcd-televisions/128595d1247354171-samsung-40-lcd-one-year-old-beyond-repair-caps.jpg

Above should be a link to a picture of the caps if not google " Samsung power supply caps" and look for other images.
Hope this helps

Once the back cover is removed the caps are obvious to spot (especially with that picture I forwarded) you need to label and remove all the plugs - unscrew the board from the chassis so you can get to the solder side of the board.
Once there all that is required is to observe how the caps are placed in - and + side of caps and unsolder the old caps 10V 1000Uf and replace with new ones of higher value 16V 1000Uf

If your feeling adventurous do it yourself otherwise get quote from a reputable shop.

Also google "Samsung power supply capacitor replacement" and there may be step-by-step instructions with pix.

Buzzing and poor recption

I wish I had a solution--My DVD picture and sound is fine, but it takes about 30-40 minutes to get any kind of picture but it is broken--not clear at all - and the sound is all garbled, totally stops for seconds to minutes a a time. It is only a little over a yr old. I finally isconnectexd today and am going back to my cheap-o but dependable tv.
