Question about Garmin StreetPilot C330 GPS Receiver
I bought maps on cd for my nuvi but now want to use them on my computer through "nroute". Although I can do this, the maps don't unlock and I can only get a limited number of maps. A colleague said that I have to buy a separate product key to use it on another unit. Is this right?

When you purchased the unit it should have come with a yellow piece of paper which have the unit ID and registration code. If you did not registered the unit with Garmin, then the only way to upgrade to new maps is to buy a new retail Mapsource CD (do not buy the upgrade) or if you still have the yellow piece of paper go to Garmin website and register the unit. The new Mapsource CD will come with a serial number which you register on Garmin's website along with your unit ID. Once you register the mapsource and your unit id you will receive a new unlock code which will only work for your garmin.
