Did you notice any better picture when you play a movie on a DVD player or using a flashdrive on this TV? Is the picture quality better? Or is it the same? Try to check another cable connection or try to play TV channel thru internet. The last option in this case is to show a TV mechanic for he would better understand which part to order.
Probably not. It sounds like the panel(screen) may have cracked inside. It happens all the time. Unfortunately, it will cost as much, if not more than the tv is worth to replace the panel.
The picture tube has become magnetized, possibly by someone getting a
magnet to close to it. You can de-magnetize it using a strong magnet
(cow magnet or similar). Place the magnet as close the the screen as
possible without touching it to the screen. Starting at the middle of
the screen and slowly (not too slow, about one full circle per second
should do) move the magnet in a circular motion. With each full circle
move the magent twards the outside (making a larger circle) as well as
moving it farther away from the screen. Using a magnet will not harm
the screen, so play with it and you'll soon get the feel and will see
what you need to do.
Tv's have a circuit built in to 'Degauss' (demagnetize) the screen each
time you turn it on, but this will only work if the set is 'Cold'. If
the set is left off for 2 hours (to cool doen) and does not demagnetize
when you turn it on the circuit is faulty.
Sorry to tell ya Gemini, but there are no user serviceable parts inside a TV set unless your a technician as theres several safety issues of Hi Voltage involved as well as unsoldering and soldering. You Have a convergence problem or Pincussion issue with your set. No quick fix for this one. You need to call in a pro to assist you with this repair. Good Luck
