Question about Gateway T-1631 Notebook
When i go to start windows, the error window recovery pops up. i've tried to start in every mode but every thime, the same thing happens, the loding bar pops up then a blue screen flashes & it restarts. i've tried doing a system recovery but, no luck. i'm thinking it's a failing hard drive. any suggestions?
To check if the hard disk is faulty, check the BIOS setting to see if the hard disk is detected. The BIOS may have a hard disk diagnostic utility, if so run the diagnostic.
Another way to check the hard disk. Remove the hard disk and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter, then plug it into a working computer's USB port. The computer should detect it as an external hard drive and if you can see, open the folders and files then the hard drive is OK, if not then you need a new hard drive for your laptop.
