Wheels fall off GE dishwasher

Have the same problem with our GE Monogram Dishwasher. The wheels
fall off. A while back we bought a service contract from GE for this machine. When I called today to have them correct our problem I was
told that GE does not cover this problem in their service contracts.
Obviously GE has a huge problem and should issue a recall on these
Any more ideas in fixing this problem?

Take the piece of the wheel that snaps onto the diswasher basket out of the wheel, and soak them in boiling water. Take them out of the water and hold the snap mechanism in toward the wheel for a few seconds, and they should snap back on....

but Turn it UPSIDE DOWN
There should be a Drain Plug (if you got water there)

If a wheel breaks
1) use pliers to pull whats left of the plastic wheel off the metal fixed shaft
2) buy replacement wheel from Home Depot
Shepherd 2 in. Twin-Wheel Stem Casters 2 Pack
3) use pliers one again to pull the shaft of out the Home Depot plastic wheel (takes some works)
4) attached the new plastic wheel to the Dishwasher's metal wheel shaft (if the wheel is loose, add some tape to the metal shaft to make it tighter fix)
5) your done, simple as ABC123
6) clean your dishes and smile :-)

Why does my dishwasher heating element turn on whenever I close the door--even when it is not running?

your timer is toast. this will repeat until you replace it or unhook the element, so don't use it until repaired. you should unhook from power as this is a very big fire hazzard

Top tray wheels keep falling off

I feel for you! I have been tortured by the blasted wheels falling off every time I go to put something into the dishwasher, or want to empty it. To add to it all, this part is no longer available to replace, which I need to do as one of the clips finally snapped off. It is a highly frustrating design flaw in this machine.

I have a GE profile dishwasher. The wheels on the lower rack have all come off and I can't seem to get it back on. On some, the piece that snaps to the rack is either broken or melted off somehow. Do I...

You just need the wheels. I have bought the upper rack wheels before, now I need the lowers. I have found a site selling them at 10.00 each. I am going to keep looking, I think I can do better, considering I need 4. I might just buy a new washer if I have to spend 40.00 plus shipping! I will post back if I find a better deal.

One approach would be to apply plumbers grease to the wheel (simple) axles turn on. It would be if you can pull the wheels, apply the grease and reassemble the wheels. The plumbers grease can be bought in a tiny tin at any real hardware stores.

Longer term fix would be to replace the wheel assemblies with new/replacement parts.

The flimsy plastic guide wheels on the rack for my (ca. 2000) GE monogram dishwasher have been breaking. Six so far. GE wants $25 - $30 per wheel to replace and $235 for a whole new rack!! I will not...

We have just solved the problem with our wheels falling off! For .75 cents a wheel we purchased new wheel "clips". The connect straight into the wheel instead of "rotating" on. Big differnence and so easy to change out! 5 minutes and the problem is gone. The item number is WD12X10277 and it is a GE product. Hope this helps!

GE dishwasher nautilus - bottom tray caster wheels come off daily.

I finally found a solution after 2 years! has wheels and studs to fix problem. WD12x10136 and wd12x10277. About $17.00 and rack is rolling perfectly. GE wanted 200 for an entire rack, no thank you!
