I would like to know how to recharge my BlueNext BN708. The one I have must be a old model as the ones on e-bay look different. I would like to know what charger to use.

I have a vector lite but have lost the recharging cord. Where can I purchase a recharging cord for my vector lite? Thanks Steve

use an extension cord - I found a cheap, old, brown one the fits just right. also.... i purchased a Y extender for a grounded plug, online years ago.... turns out it fits on that plug just right ... Y plug is a grounded male plug that plugs into an outlet..and, on the opposite ends are 2 grounded female inlets, and one fits on the spotlite nicely... but, the extension cord, a cheap one from a local drug store, should work... take it with you, late at nite, and trry it out on the plugs... let the clerk know what you are doin, then they won't be watching the heck out of you.

you'd be surprised, you probably had something laying around the house that'd work just fine...

now, I need to replace my battery but, I cannot identify which 1000 I have, if there are different model numbers... all the writing has come off except the "V" and the "1million" ... but, ultimately, I need to find a battery for this baby - thoughts?????

The screws which connect the blades to the motor are missing. The screws at home depot are a different thread and will nt work. How can I get the correct screws It is a hampton bay fan that could be 25...

i have the same problem, bought five different screws from five different hardware stores including home depot, lowes, ace and mom an pops. Nothing seems to fit and hampton bay's website is a joke. And my fan is only about 3-4 years old. Hate to throw a perfectly good fan away over somethin as petty as this but.... looks like we're gonna have to bite the bullet bro. 70 bucks down the drain over 2 dollars screws. Wont be dealing with hampton bay anymore.

How do you check the switch on a rechargeable mag-lite

There's not much that can go wrong with the switch but things do happen.
I can tell you how to remove the SWITCH then you can go to www.maglite.com to order a new switch if you then think that's what the problem is. However, I do not know how to actually 'test' the SWITCH itsself to determine if it is defective. I have the rechargeable model which is nearly 20yrs old and it developed the same issue about 10yrs ago. I simply removed the old switch, ordered a new one, installed it and now have a happy light.
Let me know and I will send you instructions. :)

Hampton bay glass shade broke model no. 640-658

good luck cutrite , Hampton Bays importer King of Fans in Fl prob wont even know what your talking about they don't speak English very good. If you speak Chinese you might have a chance but if the part is over a year old..'forget about it' as we would say... they don't stock old parts (over a year) and everything is manufactured in China. Try a local lighting store you'll save yourself a lot of aggravation. And don't patronize Hampton Bay it only encourages them to push garbage on us all.

Fan switch chain broke.

There are two types of switch for Hampton Bay fans.

One is a single-layer switch, which has all four holes on one level.

The other is a double-layer switch, which has holes in two circles, one on a higher level, and one on a lower level.

Whichever type your fans has, is the type you need to get as a replacement. Be sure to mark the old wires before removing them from the old switch, so you'll know where they go in the new switch.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!

Ceilng fan conversion

It depends. Until the late 1990s, there were only four different variations of switch cap (the part you want), and they were interchangeable between fans. Now, there are literally hundreds.

The Sonoma uses one of the regular old 4, and one was included with your fan in case you wanted to mount it without the light kit. You must call Hampton Bay and order a replacement.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
