What song has the lyrics: Call me don't be afraid, just call me and I'll be around (or there) . . .?

The song is "Call Me" and was recorded by a number of diffrent singers, mainly female (Petula Clark, Nancy Sinatra, etc) but males as well (Frankie Valli). It was used as a lot as an album filler. Most arrangements I've run into have a samba beat.

Monitor Channel Making static sounds

Without hearing it it is difficult to be sure what is going on. What happens if you plug the main PA into the monitor channels, do you get the same? Are you trying to get too much into the monitors? static and popping are not the same to my ears, popping sounds more like you are hearing something that's there through the monitors that you're not hearing through the main mix as it may be masked. What frequency is the popping? Does it only happen when levels are high or when the singers are doing 'p' and 'b's etc? do you get it if you put the monitors on the main mix? Are you running the monitors into clipping (although I wouldn't expect this to create a popping? It sounds like a mix issue rather than a fault with hardware.

I want to connect my amp to my pc

use a mini adapter to a large one.(3.5 to 1/4) or mini headphone jack to 1/4 headphone jack.plug a male3.5 into your outgoing headphone jack or from the pc convert the other end of that cord to get you to the proper size or 1/4 head phone jack.the primary cord from the pc needs to be a male to female cord.they make adapters that will get you the rest of the way.3.5 mini male to 1/4 phono female.then you plug your amp in to the 1/4 female.wala

I open the Amazing SlowDowner Lite for Mac OS X and there is no track list, even after I've refreshed the tracklist as per the instructions.

Strange thing... we just got the Grappelli violin thing which uses the same Slowdowner from HL... We already had the full blown Slowdowner and we did not let the Lite version overlay the full version we have... When we open the SlowDowner it shows a bunch of track numbers, NO NAMES, but they do contain the audio expected. Exploring the properties the disk is absolutelyFULL. I am on a PC so I don't know what you have on the Mac to look at the file properties on the disk...
In our case I have to load Slowdowner and the tracks appeared... HOWEVER before we did one thing they did not pop up...
You have to tell it to open a CD rather than FILE in the one window !!!!

How do you use the mixer with a regular combo amp and stereo mic cable?

This is not hard to do, but it will require some adapters. Hosa company makes adapters to accomplish this. For example, if your Stereo mic has "1/4 inch male phone plugs" Hosa makes and adapter that has 1/4 inch female plug to Male XLR connectors. The Mackie, and just about every mixer in the world these days has Female XLR connectors for it's microphone inputs. So that will handle tha.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "combo" amp. If it has XLR inputs you can use Tip Ring Sleve male output jacks to the output. If your amp as conventional 1/4 inch female input jacks. Than a simple
1/4 inch Male to Male Guitar Cable will work fine. DON'T USE A SPEAKER CABLE as it is uninsulated and you will get 60Hz hum.
I hope this helps,
That looks like a great quality mixer you have!
Happy New Year,
Mark

Hello...I am an owner of the Fender Passport PD-500 Sound System

Replace the fuse only once. If it blows right away, then servicing is required as continued replacement will likely damage more inside.

Most of thes have a fuse holder that is a part of the input power socket. There is a little rectangular panel adjacent where the cord connects with a tab that you gently pry out and carries a small fuse. Replace the fuse and re-install the carrier.

These units are very hard to work on due to packaging.

Hii

Hi

Find out the make of your sound card in control panel/system and either Google the manufacturers website and see if they have a download section or go to http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/ and see if the make is listed there

Cheers
