Question about HTC Velocity 4G Smartphone 3G 850MHz AT&T Unlocked Import

Htc velocity isnt charging

So I've got a HTC Velocity and I bought a new battery a few days ago and a new cable for the charger. All it does is flash a light blue colour on and off for about 3 minutes then the screen stays black. Anyone have any idea what's wrong and how to fix it? Thanks

Seeing as you've replaced all of the charge components, you have narrowed down the list of things that could be causing your problem considerably.
Basing my professional opinion strictly off of the information provided, your device is no longer able to render a charge from your battery. The port that actually holds your battery must not be accepting a charge from the battery.

SOURCE: HTC Hero is running very sluggish! Need Help!!

Things which might cause a fresh HTC Hero to run slow:
1. Numerous concurrent connections (sync'ing with GMail e-mail, contacts, calendars) 2. Running WiFi 3. Running GPS 4. Running Bluetooth 5. Large number of contacts 6. Numerous browser windows open
Of course, it could just be the bloatware from the carrier. For a lean machine, start with a clean Android kit. If it's still not moving fast enough, you can overclock with Overclock Widget. Again, you'll need a rooted phone to use this.

SOURCE: My battery does not charge

Hello, why the phone is not charging is because the cell of the battery is weak and can power on the phone for to long, that's why it shots down so quick,

You will need to replace battery with a new one for longer talk hours.

Make sure you charge battery for 6hours before use.

And also if the battery still doesn't work that means the phone memory is weak and it will need to be flashed to restore back the phone memory.

What you will need to do is this,

You will have to flash the phone to restore the memory of the phone.

You can use this link to see how to flash your phone

Take care.

Please reset the mobile ,
Resetting Your Device Soft reset Occasionally, you may need to reset your device. A soft(or normal) reset of your device clears all active program memory and shuts downall active programs. This can be useful when your device is running slower thannormal, or a program is not performing properly. A soft reset is also necessary afterthe installation of some programs. If a soft reset is performed when programs arerunning, unsaved work will be lost. To perform a soft reset 1. Remove theback cover. 2. Use the stylustip to press the RESET button located between the SIM card and the storage card slots. Your device restarts and displays the Home screen. Hard reset You can also perform a hard reset (also known as a fullreset). A hard reset should only be performed if a normal reset does not solve asystem problem. After a hard reset, the device is restored to its defaultsettings-the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on. Any programs youinstalled, data you entered, and settings you customized on your device will be lost.Only Windows MobileĀ® software and other pre-installed programs will remain. Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Make sure thatany additional installed programs and/or user data have beenbacked up before you perform a hard reset. Managing Your Device Important IfEncrypt files when placed on a storage card is enabled, backup all files from the storage card before using Clear Storage, hard reset,or updating the ROM system software. Otherwise you will no longer be able toaccess the encrypted files on the storage card. Use ActiveSync or WindowsMobileDeviceCenter to transfer files between your storage card and computer. After theprocedure, copy your files back to the storage card. To perform a hard reset 1. With thedevice turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then briefly press the POWER button. 2. Continuepressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you see this message on the screen: This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to the manufacturer default settings. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer defaults, or press other keys to cancel. 3. Release theVOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons. 4. Htc wont charge and turn on

If it won't charge then you may have a defective charger, a failed battery or a loose solder joint at the charging port. If your charger plug is fitted with a fuse then consider checking the fuse is okay by trying a new one. Also, check your charger on a friends HTC, check their charger on your HTC. It really is a process of elimination to find the issue yourself.
The HTC won't turn on because it isn't charged, until you fix charging prob it won't turn on.

The charger can be tested for proper voltage coming out in most cases- either the battery is bad, the charger, or the connection where the charger connects to the unit.

My htc incredible s won't charge, I've tried

It sounds like the charging port on your phone is broken. This could have happened a number of ways. Either by dropping your phone, putting the charger in wrong, or taking it out wrong. If you call HTC(866-449-8358) and it is still under warranty they will probably fix it for free as long as it doesn't have any water damage( Otherwise you could also get a new phone.

HTC S710 - Battery issue

it could be either battery or charger, If the charger isn't supplying enough power it will fool the phone..
some 3rd party batteries and cheapo chargers can cause all sorts of problems like this.
best way to test is charge your phone by usb, it takes longer but will give you some idea of weather its the battery or charger.
Make sure that the box at the bottom of the power management window (dont charge by usb) is set to off. Also for best results remove any other usb devices from the computer this will leave more power for the phone.

Best of luck
