Question about Apple Computers & Internet
Posted by Anonymous on
There are many possible reasons for a slow machine. An obscure but common problem is that the battery pack has failed or is missing. If the battery is bad, the CPU may be automatically underclocked to reduce power demand, even if the charger is plugged in. Swap in a known good battery, make sure it is charged, and see if this helps.

It may not have much RAM. If it's web that seems slow, your connection might be slow from something other than your laptop. Your laptop will run fastest without downloading anything to "help" it run faster. All of that stuff is garbage.
