Question about LG Computers & Internet
I unplugged my lg tv to switch out tv stands and then replugged everything back in. Now my tv won't turn on. I have checked the power supply several times and everything is plugged in correctly. Why won't my tv turn on?

the problem is in the power supply(they know about it good luck fighting them)but there is good news.you can remove the power supply and replace electrolytic caps,EC18,EC19,EC20 all of them are 1000mf at16 volt use 1000mf at25 volt.you can also go to shopjimmy.com enter model number you will see power supply part number MLT169B
it will be cheaper for you to replace the caps, the board cost about $80.00 from them

Testimonial: "Dale Hunter's response was completely accurate. I replaced the three capacitors that he identified. And it has been working fine since 2009. Now I have the black screen problem. Help me Dale."
TV currently on stand by and won't some back on. Only way to switch it if is by unplugging it, which I've tried, but goes straight back onto stand by.

I am guessing that since you are checking other outlets that you are getting no STB light or anything. So you will want to start by looking at the SMPS on the unit and see if the 5A 250V fuse is blown or not. If it is blown then you can try replacing it but I would bet that it will just blow again. So you need to replace the SMPS

most LG have a "vacation switch" on the bottom right hand side of the set very near that standby light.
it is placed poorly, where you can accidently click when grabbing the TV to move it or swivel it.
it is a toggle switch, a "master power" switch.
you may have bumped it to the off position. flip the switch, your standby light will come back on.
