I have fixed a couple of them by applying a thin layer of keg lube to the silicone flange underneath the water tank. Remove the bottom cover of the brewer and take out the two screws that hold the flange in place. This is where the pump draws water from the tank. Air can get in at that seal and it won't pump water if that happens. Keg lube will make it seal better. I got mine at Annapolis Home Brew dot com. Hope that helps!

Pump not sucking in water what would cause this?

These pumps are not designed to **** water like some might think. There is going to be some vacuum created for the fact that it is an axial pump. You really should have a water supply pushing water to the unit instead of trying to use it to **** water.

I have used a pump like this to **** water but it only would pull water from a 6 to 7 ft hose and nothing longer. If it use to **** before then it sounds like your low pressure valves in the pump are becoming worn out and would have to be replaced.

What are the signs of a water pump problem

A water pump problem will begin with a small quantity of leaking water from the top or bottom of the pump from a small depression called a weep hole. This lets you know the pump will fail soon and the "seal" inside where the blades turn is "rocking back and forth" and is no longer solid. The water pump will cause you to have low coolant and your fans may kick on while you are driving rather than when you are stopped in traffic. Then the pump will begin to make a grinding noise as it fails worse and the vehicle may overheat due to low circulation. To test the pump, remove the drive belt and turn the pulley for the water pump by hand. If it is NOT SMOOTH it is time to replace it.

Slow Leak in Water Pump-1999 Plymouth Voyager

What's probably happening is the weep hole on the water pump is leaking water. The weep hole is a warning sign that the water pump needs replaced. You don't have any heat because the impeller in the water pump is no longer circulating water.

I have a portable room cooler and while the fan still works the water no longer gets drawn up for the cooling effect.

First start with a good cleaning, it sounds like the pump is either plugged or burnt out. Make sure the water pan is clean, pump screen and the base of the pump, use something and reach in and spin the pump wheel, allot of the time the pump will hang up, from sitting. But of a longer term solution, problably the pump will need replacing.

Whirlpool lsr 8233eqo runs over every time any help out there

The main things that will affect time on any programme are the flow rate of water coming in, flow rate of water being pumped out and the temperature of the water coming in and the amount of heating required to be able to run the chosen programme. If the water is colder coming in then it takes longer to heat up and hence the programme takes longer than expected. If there is any blockage in the outlet pipe or blockage in the filter or pump it takes longer to pump out the water at each cycle and therefore the programme takes longer.

Well Water Issues

This could be a number of issues:

Your wells water level may have dropped off to a pont where the pump is no longer in the ground water

If in fact power is getting to the pump the motor may have failed

The pump may have broken off of its drop-pipe, this I see oftenwith pumps with plastic heads.

The control box (if one) may have a failed component.

You may have a sever leak within the well as water is just recirculating with in the well.

A check valve may be stuck

I'd call a water professional on this one, until then shut the ubit down so possible dry running of the pump and mortro does not occur.
I hope this may have assisted you,
Tom
