Unplug & remove the battery about a hands width from the DVD face on the back is one screw. Remove that screw and extract the drive. Generally it is easier to remove it with the gate open & pulling gently straight out.

How do I remove/replace the keyboard from a HP Pavillion dv7-2277cl

1. Remove 6 screws from the bottom of the case (as shown). These screws hold the accessory cover.

2. Remove one screw securing the CD/DVD drive. Slide the CD/DVD drive to the left to disconnect it from the motherboard. Remove the CD/DVD drive.

3. Remove all marked screws from the bottom of the notebook.
The yellow circled screws secure the keyboard cover, and the green one secures the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard.

4. Turn the computer display-side up and open it as far as possible. Insert a guitar pick or small flat screwdriver between the keyboard cover and case and slowly move along the side.

5. Lift the keyboard cover. Be careful, it's still connected to the motherboard. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector and disconnect the cable from the LED board. Remove the keyboard cover.

6. Remove the four screws that secure the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard.

7. Lift the rear edge of the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard until it rests at an angle. Slide the keyboard back to disengage the tabs on the front edge of the keyboard from the top cover and rest it on the display.

8. Release the ZIF connector to which the keyboard cable is attached and disconnect the keyboard cable. Remove the HP Pavilion DV7 keyboard.

How can I unlck my a410n hp comuter It will not accept my pass word

Hi, it sounds like an incorrect password has been used on your system and you are only given three trys to insert the correct password and then your system locks you out completely. There is however a way around this and that is, you need to open up your pc tower and on the motherboard next to your cmos battery, this is easy to spot, it's a coin shaped battery, there's a group of metal pins also known as jumpers. These jumpers will have a tiny cap covering two of the metal pins. Remove this jumper. Close your tower and reboot your system. By doing this your system should no longer ask for a password. The alternative to this is you can remove the coin battery and replace it and again, close up and reboot your system.

There is something very important to consider. Before you do any of these things make sure you ground yourself. This relates to ESD or Electro Static Discharge. This is very bad for all components on your motherboard inside the pc. Before touching anything inside your pc on the motherboard ground yourself by touching a metal port on the outside back of the pc or the metal powersupply and this will release any static discharge from your fingers. It's then safe to take the above actions. Make sure all the power is off before going inside. I have enclosed a video for you to look at which will explain things in detail. This will remove your bios password if any.

In relation to your windows password there are utilites that you can use and I will provide details for you in another video as follows: This relates to a free bootable cd from the following website with the video underneat. I hope this helps. Please let me know how you get on. Andrew

My power button for my HP a410n desk top flashes and beeps when I try to turn it on. I removed the side panel, checked the memory stick to make sure it wasn't loose, put it in the second slot, and checked...

It can be an issue with the motherboard or the SMPS(power supply unit)...
You can remove the 24pin power cable plugged in the mother board and you can plug it back...
also try to remove the cmos battery and place it back in the motherboard...

The data that is stored on the Hard disk will never get erased, so you need not worry about your data...!
