Question about SanDisk 2GB microSD Memory Card

1 Answer

Used Memory that I can't use or delete

I have an old memory card that I purchased to use with another phone (LG Musiq) that I decided to use with my new one (Samsung Instinct). The reason why I stop using it is because one day all the music I had on there just disappeared and I was to lazy to reload all 300 some odd songs back on there. I inserted the card into my computer today and looked and the properties and it said most of the memory on there is used, but when I go to open the files and see what's on there, nothing shows up. Please help! I was too lazy to load songs on there before, it's safe to say that I'm too lazy to buy a new one!

Your help is greatly appreaciated,
Denise

Goto: my computer, right click card, properties, Format it.

google how to format SD card

if the space remains used after a format, the space has beed locked out by the card itself. flash devices wear out over time.

Can i recover deleted photos?? I have an LG KC910 Renoir that decides to delete photos randomly...

Try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your LG cellphone, here are some for your options.

Photo Recovery (for Windows)
Photo Recovery for Mac

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the phone memory card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

Won't read new memory card

Hi,when a memory card does not read on a phone, it means that the memory card is bad or is not compatible with the phone.

If the old memory card being used before works, that means the new memory card is bad and will need to be replaced.with another.

Have a nice day.

LG Fusic 550 Sprint - Memory Card Error with 8 GB Sandisk MicroSD

Believe it or not, a lot of the older phones (an even the newer phones) will not support the 8GB memory card. Most of the phones on the market that support 8GB cards are the smart phones and PDA's. There are a few standard phones that support it but not many. Unfortunately, the LG 550 is not one of them. :o/

You may need to take it back and exchange it for a smaller one.

LG EnV wont transfer!!

I believe the card is formatted incorrectly, this sometimes occurs when the new OS doesn't recognize the old files and sort of "partitions" them off to the side instead of deleting them.

You can try reformatting using the enV again or (if you still have the old phone) put the card back in it and delete the other files from there. Otherwise you can probably format it using your computer, seeing as you have a connection between the phone and the computer.
