Does not autofocus

Assuming you've made sure the auto-focus is turned on on both the lens and the camera, remove the lens, turn off the camera. Remove the battery. Wait about a minute. Put the lens back on, turn the camera back on . It's a computer basically. Sometimes it crashes. I've had this happen to me a few times.

I need your help please, I fell with my Nikon camera, the body still works, but the 55-200mm lens does not work again, for seeing through the viewfinder the image is dark. The lens does not hit with...

Okay if you have luck all that's happened is you have jarred the lens contact between the camera body and lens. Make sure the camera is turned off then remove the lens and clean the gold contacts on both the lens and camera body. Remove the battery, install the lens and replace the battery, turn the camera on. If it still doesn't work shut the camera off and try another lens and see if it work properly this will tell you if it's the camera at fault or the lens. Switch lenses between known working cameras. I'm sure you will find the lens has come loose. I only once had a lens come apart from a jar (not impact) and it actual popped apart in pieces.

Lens error, 122,1,0,0

Hi,

The problem is actually quite common throughout all camera brands. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended.

1.Remove the batteries from the camera, wait a few minutes. Put a fresh set of batteries back in (preferably rechargeable NiMH 2500mah or better) and turn the camera on. If that didn't work, try pressing and holding the Function or OK button while turning the camera on.

2.
Remove the batteries, then remove the memory card. Then install new batteries, and turn on the camera.

Thank you !!

I have a canon eos digital camera. It has error 99 code on it when I try to take a picture

Error 99 can be caused by poor communication between the camera and the lens. Often it can be resolved by doing one of these following fixes:

1) Turn the camera off, remove the lens, replace the lens, turn the camera on.

2) If that doesn't work, turn the camera off and remove the lens. Use a clean pencil eraser to clean the electrical contacts between the lens and the camera body. Hold the lens or camera body "upside down" so that the contacts are facing down as you rub them with the eraser so that any eraser debris falls onto the table rather than falling into your camera or lens. Replace the lens.

If neither of these fix your problem you will need to send the camera and lens in to Canon for repair.

Lens stuck on camera in wrong position

It may need professional help to remove it safely. If you try too hard to remove it yourself, either the aperture arm on the lens and/or the camera will get bent or damaged.
