Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: rio forge problem
go to: http://www.sonicblue.com/support/rio/downloads/Forge/RioForge_firmware_133.exe download the latest firmware. Follow the instructions. **NOTE** Make sure you have a new battery in your RIO as well. I've seen a low battery being a problem.

Probably has corrupt driver.
Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

After inserting the disk try, opening the disk drive from my computer(not autoplaying) there might be more setup for the camera, just install everything inside.
