How do i obtain a user name and password for the SET UP OF A WIRELESS NETWORK FOR THE toshiba WRC 1000?

Not that I am aware of , but you signal strength will degrade if all the devices are on and using at once. Also your ISP MAY "throttle" your service/signal with high data usage. That said, Your iTouch and xBox, in the setting , wireless, the iTouch should see the signal, Is the wireless turned on? It's discoverable? If your wirell has a Password, has a setup box on the iTouch asked for the password? Use the Manuals for the devices to troubleshoot connections.

Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable?
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router with the cable.
Check the IP address on the computer. Open the router set up page.
Once you open the set up page, you will find the option to make it secured

I am not familiar with your particular make and model. Normally, you can configure such a router with no password. Many people will say you need a password for security and I will not disagree. However, I think a password is at your option. If there is a password on your device now and you forgot it, I'd try :"Admin". You may wish to check the documentation that came with your device or check with the manufacturer.

theres a possiblity that the modem is set to bridge mode,in that way,you will not be able to connect to the internet direclty to the modem,192.168.1.1 is usually the deault gatewayy address for almost all verizon modem and username is admin and password is admin as well,if admin didnt take for the password,try using password as the password

OPen webinterface of your router (opening address can be found on booklet) Then found a security option there and Provide a WEP key there...

lets get the picture right. laptop connects to a wireless router. then u want to plug into laptop ethernet wan port of linksys ? you have to set router manual settings to gateway which is ip of toshiba... this is a fun topic. ive connected xbox360 to laptop this way.. never tried router. "fun times ahead!"

Try entering "admin" for the user and "password" for the password.

remove power from the router and then using a paperclip reset the router holding the paperclip in for about 10 seconds....reattach 1 cable going from your computer to the router and log into the router, open your browser, type in the access address, enter the default factory user name and password,,, then setup your router accordingly,,,,follow the setup procedures from the manufacturer
