Pier 1 imports: Indoor/Outdoor Flameless candle remote control. Pier 1 imports: Flameless tealights. Are these two items compatable? I tried everything i could to make it work, turning on the tealight, checking the batteries, pressed every button and nothing worked. What am i doing wrong?

SOURCE: Remote not working

You can use any digital camera or camcorder in order to check the remote control. Direct the remote (press any button) in direction of camera lens. If remote works you will see the bright spot on your camera screen. If you need more info please advice.

SOURCE: Samsung TV remote control

Confirmed with Samsung tech support. Problem is with remote. to fix, simple take the batteries out of the remote. Press and hold the UP Volume button for 2 Mintues (no cheating, it has to be at least 2 minutes), this Reset's the Remote Control. Put the batteries back in. Bob's your uncle. all fixed.

SOURCE: My Sharp Remote Control Is Suddenly Stop Working

Ok I just dealt with the Sharp customer support for this problem.

1) You need to unplug the TV for 1 full minute and remove the batteries from your remote aswell (this will reset the system)
2) Hold the power button on the remote for 30 seconds with the batteries still out of the remote and the TV still unplugged
3) After the 30 seconds replace batteries then press every button on the remote beginning with the power button in order from left to right and top to bottom (same way you read)
4) Then plug your tv back in and try the remote again.... and the remote and TV should be back in sync.

SOURCE: remote control

I had the same problem.  The problem is strange and seems to be with the receiver in the TV and not the remote control.  The reason I say this is that when this first happened my Samsung brand DVD could actually control the TV.  This then also failed, but still works fine with the DVD player.
Anyway there is an even more bizarre fix to all this......
- Remove the batteries from your TV remote. - Press and hold the red (ON/OFF) button for at least 1 min. - Replace the batteries and hey presto!!
I know seems far fetched but I found it on the Samsung website and it does work.

Gave flameless candles as a gift. Largest candle does not work -changed batteries.??

Were they part of a set with a remote control? If so, you will need to move it away from the others and aim the remote only at it until you can "sync" it with the others. If no remote, the bulb might have come loose in shipping. Depends on the style as to whether or not you can tighten it.

I need to know how to set the auto on/ off for a pier 1 flame less candle

Do you have a remote with it? We have a set of flame less candles and there are buttons at the bottom of the candle to set the timer. All we have to do is set the green and white button at the desired time and the light near the buttons starts blinking which states number of hour per blink and then release the button.

Can flameless candles be used indoors and outdoors?

Sure, that's the great thing about flameless candles - they are weather proof as the wind won't blow the candle out. But be careful in extremely hot temperatures as the heat could melt the actual wax of the candle.

What are flameless candles?

Flameless candles are made from beeswax like regular candles but instead of a wick they use Led lighting to illuminate the candle. They look very realistic but are much safer than regular candles.
