Thought throw out bearing was making noise,replaced bearing and clutch, noise is exactly the same


bad diagnose.? (full clutch mean, with fly pilot bearing NEW?)
parked, are you parked, ? and idling,?
so here are the real tests, if parked. (moving can be CV noise or other things, braking or?)

So you think the TO bearing is bad. ok. , that is always FIRST.
1: i remove all parts connected to the TO bell lever, (SLAVE Cyl)
just unbolt the slave, leave hoses alone. see lever and bellows boot?
the lever is now free in the bell port, for me to play with it by hand.
Hand testing, i do that , because, stuff can fail in all these parts.
I can in fact move the lever too, and fro.
I can take off the boot and see what happening, i can see the insides.
I can see it touch or not touch the TO bearing. ( this is POWER )
The power of sight and actions....

i pull back on the lever such that there is huge play now , from the
lever internal fingers and the bearing, (in neutral idling)
the lever is NOT touching the TO bearing. (see end of post for hints)
no noise now?
yes, no noise, bad TO bearing.
no, i still have noise. (TO is not touching anything now and can not make noise. its some thing else, out comes my $% stethoscope.

ok say the noise is unchanged, touching or not (lever)
the other noise maker.?
is the fly wheel pilot. (there are others, but we look at each 1 by 1 in order.
The pilot can sing (noise) when in gear, clutch pedal to floor.
this cause the fly wheel to go fast and the pilot shaft in the tranny to be
stalled, and puts max stress on the pilot. make noise now?
and increases with RPM , yes, bingo , full clutch was not full clutch was it (ponder that)
ok that tests passes. TO good, pilot good.
we not attack the tranny.
So in Neutral, clutch pedal not depressed.
The transmission front pilot shaft is now spinning
you year noise.
you depress the pedal to the floor, and the noise stops.
yes, bad tranny.

when young i blew a clutch almost every race, seen ever failure possible. all.


hints.
with engine off and slave off.
im playing with the lever, i look down the hole (port)
and see the end of the lever, is it captive in the TO slider ring.
yes, good
no bad install.
yes, is the TO sliding freely in the Pilot boss? or is the TO stuck or sticking, and is hard to retract the TO away from the PP pressure plate fingers? all these checks are hands on deal.
there are many checks to do, before jerking any gear box.

hint 2,
does the noise stop if you start a cold engine with all fan belts.
removed? then start engine and run for 2mins max?
yes, then its not the tranny.
its the P/S pump, A/c Compr. or the water pump or alternator bad.

i wish i was there, in 15min we;d have the source.

97 grand marquis high beam stop work but the light well show up on dash that its on but lights dont come on


Does the high beam work on `flash to pass' feature? That's when you pull the lever toward you to flash your high beams.
If they light up while you pull your lever, it's probably a bad headlight connection at the switch on the dash,OR a bad headlight switch(very expensive if it has the delay feature,which most of them do.
If your lghts DON'T brighten when you pull the lever toward you,it might just be bad bulbs......one goes out and you don't notice it, and then when the other goes out,you NOTICE it. don-ohio (:^)

My Allis Chalmers 6080 PTO will not shut off with the lever. Even though I pull the lever to stop PTO, it stays engaged. Any answer to this issue?


The lever is maybe not engageing the electrical switch so if it worked good in the past something has worn or come loose.Find the point where the lever engages the switch and there are usually 2 wires running to the pto.Also one or more wires might be off the pto.Go from one thing the lever does to the next step and it might be a bad switch if the lever is working the switch and it still does not turn off.Hope this helps

Shift lever won't go to park and moves stiff even while pushing on metal lever on the side of the transmission


The first thing i would do is to disconnect the cable at the lever on the ******, next move the lever at the ****** by hand and it should move by hand with little force. if the lever is hard to move then you may have a trany shift rod problem. next with cable removed try to go through the gears with the shifter , the shifter should flow with ease if its hard to move then its the shifter cable or the shifter itself. to find out which one you will need to disconnect cable at sifter and then move the shifter to see if its still tight. if the shifter is tight to move with cable removed then its the shifter but if it moves with ease then you have a bad cable. good day.

The first thing is to replace the flasher, the 4ways and signals use diffrent flashers, after replacing the flasher or changing it with the 4way flasher and see what happens. if this doesnt help then you may have a bad signal switch, a good trick is to turn on the signal and watch it as you move the lever around, pull back a little or lift it more and pull down a little, sometimes the switch contact goes bad and by moving the lever without take signal off will make it flash and if that happens then the signal switch is bad even if the 4ways work this still means a bad switch, the 4ways are wired through diffrent contacts then each signal, good luck.

No brake lights when i push the pedal


Its the signal light switch on the lever.
THe signal switch has all connections relating to the brake lights!
solution play around with the lever and see or get someone to see the brake lights work with the brake pedal down.
My car does the same thing! when i move the lever towards activaiting the high beams the brake lights work.
just gently push on the lever to see the lights go on.
you have to replace the switch and requires removing the steering wheel without setting off the airbag.

Gear lever has dropped down and i have no first


It sounds like the splines have stripped on your shift pedal. Can you bring it back to the normal position and tighten it? I had the same thing happen on a honda kick starter, I neglected it to the point that it couldn't be repaired without replacing the shaft. Try the tightening I suggested and see if it helps, you may need a new shift pedal if the splines are stripped. Good Luck! i hope you find this very helpful!

  1. u may need to check first internal network broad casting. if any system is giving too much packeting
  2. connectors of cables which is properly crimp
  3. quality of cable
  4. cable which is comes in ur premises through area junk box is properly connected.
  5. u may need to check load balancing of network from your authorised vendor
