My poulan 18 inch chain saws blade turns but only cuts in about an inch and won't go any farther. It's two days old and worked fine cutting the first 2 trees down.

It sounds like the chain does want sharpening, it depends on what you are cutting ( type of timber, dirty timber, burnt timber etc ) as to how long before it needs sharpening, if the chain comes into contact with the ground below the tree it will lose its edge instantly.

What do the adjustment screws on a poulan pro chainsaw carburetor look like

I'm not sure about the poulan, but they should just be little holes in the side cover there with a hi and low or H and L, If the engine won't stay running, open the low jet just a hair at a time, no more than 1/4 turn, try throttling it a minute, then see if it will run, If not try it again, do not open it up more than 1/4 turn at a time, the same goes for the high speed jet, if it won't rev. Open it up a hair at a time. Sometimes it will act totally wrong and have to be redone, close both screws, open both screws up 1 turn, then try it again. It is a small flat blade scewdriver just big enough to get in the hole, check it out. Hope this helps.

Electric chain saw pole wouldn't cut branches

Check to make sure the blade is not installed backwards. It's an easy mistake to make, everything will work OK, but the saw won't cut if the blade is on backwards.

I can't unlock the blade.

Do you mean the chain won't move, or you can't get the blade off? The chain brake must be off to allow the chain to move. The chain brake handle has a housing that engages a gear attached to the chain brake inside the cover where the blade is attached. The brake must be off to remove the cover (usually held on by two nuts). The blade tension screw should be loosened to allow the blade to be removed, then retightened when replacing the blade. Tightening it pushes the blade out from the saw, so if it is tight, you won't be able to remove the blade. Hope this helps.

The ******** the Fiskars Power-Stroke pole pruner has become slack and won't open and shut the pruner blades. Would appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hi, you need to clean the blades and dry them and spray some WD-40 on any thing metal spring, blades, nuts, bolts. They get a build up of tree sap from cutting, regular cleaning and coating them with oil will prolong the life of any metal tools, also when you clean them make sure they are closing all the way without gaps. You may need to adjust the blades by adjusting the screws, take your time and adjust slowly so you turn in the right direction continually checking the gap.

I have an older B&D reciprocating saw i use and i need help with changing the blade. It has an allen screw that hold it in but even when i remove it there is still a small pin that holds the blade. I...

No, the pin holds the blade in there as a keeper device, The screw just puts the clamp on it. It was probably just stuck, If the pin is gone, driven out or out of the way, try getting it back to hook the blade on. The clamp alone won't hold it. I tried.

Poulan 18" Chainsaw - Motor runs fine but blade stopped spinning

Chain may be locked in the bar. Caused by low oil flow to chain. You will probably have to remove the bar and blade. Then try to rotate the sprocket, if it will not rotate you may have to replace or repair the clutch. with the blade off try starting the saw and see if it is oiling. There is a small hole in housing that oil should be visible coming out at a fairly good rate. If not you will either have to open orifice in the housing or repairing the oil pump.
