The lens on the HS series cameras is fixed and is not meant to be removed. They are not SLR body cameras even thought they appear to be. You can buy non-Fuji filters and lens converters to fit on your camera but you can't replace the lens that is on it. It is a Bridge camera, meant to be between DSLR's and consumer point n shoot cameras.

How do I replace the rear blinker?

The lens needs to be removed. Look behind the trunk liner/carpet covering the access to the retainers holding the lens in place. Remove the retainers ( could be plastic wing nuts or actual nuts screwed to the tail light studs. ) There may be 3-5 holding the lens in place. Once retainers are removed the lens will pull away from the vehicle and the light socket can be twisted and removed from the lens assembly exposing the bulb

I have a dark spot on my lens. Can I remove the lens and clean it? if so, how?

Cleaning of a camera lens is only allowed with special less fluid, because the coating on the lens can easily be damaged. The coating is essential, for correct working of the lens. It corrects aberration, flairs and adds to the sharpness of the lens. fluids like alcohol must not be used. You also can buy a lens pen to remove smudges, but first read how to use it.
They come in different sizes, so choose the correct one for your lens, if you want one.
When the dark spot is on the inside of the lens you can't remove it. It could be molt and will eat its way through. Where the molt is, the coating is gone, so removing it, will change the characteristics if the lens forever.

Does not autofocus

Assuming you've made sure the auto-focus is turned on on both the lens and the camera, remove the lens, turn off the camera. Remove the battery. Wait about a minute. Put the lens back on, turn the camera back on . It's a computer basically. Sometimes it crashes. I've had this happen to me a few times.

The eyepiece lenses have something on the inside. Can they be removed for cleaning?

  1. Carefully clean your binoculars by firstly removing any dirt or dust from the main body and straps using a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid the lenses at this point using any form of cloth on the lenses before removing all dirt and dust particles first could destroy them.
  1. Gently remove all traces of grit, dirt or dust particles from the lenses using a soft lens brush or canned air specifically designed for the purpose.
  1. Waterproof binoculars can be rinsed gently under a tap but be sure to use on lightly running water, avoid high pressure water as it could damage your binoculars.
  1. Gently remove any remaining marks using lens cleaning tools such as a lens pen or lens cleaning fluid and lens tissue. Do not be tempted to use kitchen towel or anything else lying around that is slightly rough and may scratch the surface of the lens, only use a lens pen, lens tissue or a lens cloth. Gently wipe the lens using a circular motion working from the centre of the lens to the outer edge. NEVER apply lens cleaning fluid directly onto the glass (always apply to the cloth) and always ensure that the lens cleaning fluid you are using is recommended for the type of lens coatings that have been applied to your binoculars (Do not use general household glass cleaning products or products designed to clean computer screens or glasses. Such products could destroy the lens coatings of your binoculars if used).

I inherited a nikon d 40, It has a polarized lens installed on the regular lens, I wanted to install a wide angle lens that I got and I dont know how to remove the polarized lens to do that. It just spins...

It sounds like there are two different issues here.

The polarizing filter is in two parts. There is a ring that spins and a part that screws onto the front of the lens. Grasp this part and unscrew it from the lens to remove the filter.

To remove the lens, look at the camera from the front. At the three-o'clock position around the lens, there is a button on the camera body. Hold this button down and turn the lens clockwise. To attach a lens, align the dots, gently press the lens into the mount, and turn counterclockwise until it clicks. This procedure is on page 8 of the manual. If you can't find your manual, you can download one from

I have a hair inside my lens. I have read that an Expert advices to remove the lens an remove the hair. But how can i remove the lens of my FZ-7 ?

You can't. Your camera is not a DSLR with removable lens capability. If the hair spoils your shots, then you need service at a repair facility.
