Question about Moen 82402 Adler Two Handle Standard Tub Shower Faucet Chrome
The kit has a converter to install on a non threaded pipe but, how long should the pipe stick out from the wall, how far should it go into the converter? It's very difficult to get the pipe to go into it and only fits in about 1/2 inch.

Should be 3 wing pipe nuts. One at basin base, and one on each end of you elbow. They should all turn counter-clockwise to remove. The one on the basin base likely and commonly has pipe thread tape on it.
