This model is prone to a lot of problems to the point where a year or so ago they offered a chassis replacement on an exchange basis.

I would with rear cover removed try to localize first where the sound or buzz is coming from: The ballast? the Light engine? The power supply?

I can help but as I said this model has a LOT of chronic problems.

Low volume on my panosonic

If you are using a cable box or other device upstream, look into it's volume. Typically source units would like to be 30 to to% volume, with the tv or stereo being the final control. What happens is the source volume gets turned too low, and then the final unit (tv or stereo) has to have so much volume to hear anything, distortion and poor sound result. Start with both midway and you should be good to go.
This presumes that you toggled any buttons that said mute or attenuate...

I had a similar problem and got a TV repair man to fix it for real cheap. The whole fixing took less then 30 min and he goes to your house to fix the TV. He fixed it for an excellent price that left us astonished. He lives in NY. Email me if anyone needs his contact information. You wont be disappointed.

Just replaced the lamp inside of a misubishi dlp wd-52525 the tv will turn on then turn off after a couple of minutes. The tv has sound but no picture

1) make sure the lamp door is properly aligned

2) listen to hear the sound of the ballast board trying to ignite the lamp. It will buzz then pause then buzz, etc its a soft noise, so listen closely.

3) watch for the green LED on the TV's front panel. If it blinks continously, there's a major problem with capacitors on several circuit boards requiring an expensive and time consuming repair.

Tv won't turn on red lights blinking

You are hearing the spark gap mounted on the lamp ballast board. If you can hear that sound, that means everything in the lamp driver circuit is working except the lamp!

Get a new lamp.

Cloths were soaked !Won't restart, door locks and you hear a buzzind sound ??

Greetings JohnnyWrench,

Information provided by the manufacturer would indicate a few things possibly causing this:

1) Washer was overloaded, remove some of the clothes and continue the cycle.

2) Washer load was too small. Add 1 or 2 similiar items to help balance the load.

3) Load is out of balance, rearrange clothes to allow for more balanced spin.

4) Drain hose might be kinked, straighten drain hose.

You can also find a copy of your owners manual at

I hope some of this helps!

Thank you,
