Try this steps...

Check this --
Start> Control Panel> "...Language...Options">
Regional and Language Options>
Advanced tab,
Change language to "English (United States)"

Could it be the "sticky keys" option is switched on? When you hit the E key does an explorer window open?
Tap the shift key 5 times and have a look. If sticky keys comes up as turned on, turn it off.

or

Could be a stuck key. Try another keyboard.

Ideacentre mouse and keyboard lockup

There are some basic steps that you can take to make sure that your wireless keyboard and mouse have the best chances of working.

First and foremost, replace your batteries.

This is the leading cause of failure. Strong batteries are vital if your wireless keyboard and mouse, including Microsoft, Logitech, and other brands, are to work correctly.

Weak batteries can be frustrating to deal with. Sometimes the mouse or keyboard will work fine, and sometimes they start acting odd.

This is where the jerky and slow motion problems can show up. The problem is that Alkaline batteries can provide plenty of energy at first, even if they are worn down.

After a few minutes or hours of use, however, they lose their capacity and the jerky problems can start up. You may even deal with it, then walk away from the computer for the rest of the day (such as leaving your office).

While you are gone, the batteries regain some of their capacity. The cycle repeats itself until eventually the keyboard or mouse do not work at all.

Another common problem is that the receiver for the wireless keyboard or mouse can be too far away for them to work. I have personally seen cases where the mouse works if used on one side of the mouse pad, and not the other.

This was due to the distance of the mouse from the receiver being too great when on the far side of the mouse pad.

The same can be true of a keyboard.

This will also cause the same jerky motions to a mouse, and missed keys on a keyboard.

The solution to this problem is to move the receiver closer to the keyboard and mouse. If the receiver is of the USB fob type (similar in shape to a USB memory stick) then you can buy a USB extension cable and place the fob closer.

Perhaps placing it next to the monitor would work best. If the receiver has a tendency to fall behind your desk, a small, clear piece of scotch tape will hold it down, and will be one hundred percent removable if you decide to move it later.

If your wireless keyboard or mouse have a desktop receiver, try moving it a little closer.

You may also need to press the "connect" buttons on the receiver and also underneath the keyboard and mouse.

If they have an on/off switch you should turn them on and off.

Hopefully this article will help you to fix your Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse slow, **** or lockup problems.

If not, check with the technical support and Frequently Asked Questions sections of your manufacturer's support website.

hope this helps

My computer wont recognize new wireless mouse

Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and have charge
make sure the usb device is properly inserted
make sure you turn the mouse on depending on type/brand of mouse it will vary it could be a button or switch on top or bottom also you might try safe mode

restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer then if your mouse works
click start right click on my computer select properties device manager control scroll to mice and pointing devices you might see a yellow question mark? right update driver
hope this helps

Either something got spilled in it or the connection ribbon got jossled lose. The top power bezel should be in with clip snaps. Remove it then the keyboard should pop up after you lightly squeeze the sides in. Look under the keyboard there is a ribbon that connects with a lock snap. Lightly push the lock clip up and push the ribbon back in and snap the clip back on. Do not put it all together yet try booting it apart and try the keyboard. If it still doesnt work power down remove battery unplug it and finish removing the keyboard order u a new 1. They run around $20 brand new.

Microsoft wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2.0 keyboard not working

You have to press the button on the receiver that is directly connected to the computer. While doing this, press the connect button both the mouse and the keyboard. I did this and now my keyboard is working, despite the battery indicator turning itself off a few seconds after I install it.

Hope this solves your problem.

Logitech LX310 keyboard / mouse (wireless)

Firstly, try changing the batteries in the keyboard.

If still has issues, try moving the receiver to another area. Try to remove from other sources of interference such as Monitors, Speakers and Power Supplies.

If this doesn't work, try using a non-wireless mouse, and see if the keyboard still has issues.

If all this fails, then I would consider replacment.

Wireless keyboards and mice have a "sync" button you can push to make sure that the peripherals and the receiving station are all on the same channel.  On your receiver (the one you plug into the computer) you will see a button.  Pressing this should cause the lights on it to blink.  When this happens press the button located on the bottom of the mouse (usually very small and recessed - try using a pen tip).  The lights should stop flashing and the mouse will be on the correct channel and should work.  Repeat the process with the keyboard if that does not work as well.
