R22 unit running at 160/58. Took bulb out climbed to 61 on suction then right back to 58. Replaced txv. Charged to 220 head, suction stays at 60. Clean coil, no filter, good airflow. Ideas?????

Sounds like bad valves in the compressor.
A good indicator is how fast the pressure changes when you shut the compressor off. It should take several seconds for the suction pressure to rise. If it's immediate, then expect a bad valve.

The cooler side of fridge does not work properly. Why?

Brand name and model number would help. It should be inside the refrigerator section usually on the upper right wall.
Link to youtube videos about this problem is below. One or more of them should help with your problem.
Go to http://searspartsdirect.com/ and enter your model number. If your model is sold by sears you can see diagrams, parts lists, manuals and get help and order parts.

Charged the a/c to spec but air wont drop below 58degs

A/C is all conditional upon ambient air temperature. If you are in a high heat area and getting 58 degrees fah., you are doing great. Take it on the highway and see how much further it goes down. The temp. inside is all relative to the outside temp.. That is the science of it. Let me know what your guage readings are and the temp where you are and I can tell you if you are doing good or great.

Our Kitchenaid KBFA25ERSS01 freezer suddenly does not stay at 0 degrees. Fluctuates between 2 degrees and 12 degrees.

Sounds to me like you could have some serious problems. What you're seeing could be either the result of faulty electronics (i.e. the thermostat) or an even larger problem with the refrigeration system itself.

About the only thing that I could think of that could be repaired by the user would be the door seals if those are leaking. Anything more intensive than that though and your best bet is to contact a service person.

Refrigerator isn't cooling below 58 degrees and freezer isn't cooling below 18 degrees. What is the problem? IS IT WORTH TRYING TO FIX IT?

Depending on age of unit. Sounds like a fan motor or defrost heaters witch can cost up to 300 to 400 to fix depending on the heaters or motor. Ask for free estimate before you commit to fix. Rus

Honeywell Digital Thermostat won't click on if temp is below 59

do you live there? if so here are the rules for setting back temperature: do not lower the temperature more than 8 degrees F from the temperature you want it when your there, setting it back for periods of less than eight hours is also somewhat futile. Due to laws of thermo-dynamics the heat required to recover from more extreme setbacks or shorter periods of time exceeds the savings acquired by taking said action. As to your question directly there are no reasons why your thermostat should not function at any setpoint temperature that it is allowed to set to (45 normally being the lowest) if it does not function below 58 degrees it has a failure and should be replaced before it fails completely. Suggest a Robertshaw or Braeburn brand thermostat, Honeywell quality has slipped over the past decade to unacceptable levels. Unless your considering a Hunter in which case buy another Honeywell.
