theres an off balance assy under the main top assy in right rear of unit, Off bal load hits into it and "pops off" , until you lift the lid to reset the switch. 2 screws in front panel will gain you access to see the switch and lever in action.

check the switch under the door , it could be damaged , check with a multimeter at OHMS setting , if there any reading then switch is OK , if not try to clean it up with tuner cleaner , you can purchased at RADIO SHACK.

This model of washer has something called an Automatic Temperature Control. This means the washer puts water into the tub at specific tempreatures instead of just 100% cold, or 100% hot. Be sure and check that the hot and cold fill hoses are connected to the proper places on the back of the washer. It's possible that the ATC (mentioned above) is causing the washer to fill slowly on the cold setting.
