four nuts 17 mm hold seat and track to vehicle floor, then unplug wiring harness from bottom of seat and remove from vehicle. Caution- seat may have to be adjusted fully forward to remove rear bolts.

How do I remove the front seat headrests on a 1999 GMC Jimmy SLT to put seat covers on it.


on mine once its all the way up tilt it away like you do to rise it up give it a forceful hit upwards.

My power seats wont work on my 2000 jimmy cant find fuses or circuit breakers for the seats can you help thanks john


there is a 25 amp circuit breaker for seats.should be marked POWER SEATS in the fuse block. the ORANGE wire at the switch gets power from that breaker, so check the ORANGE wire for power.

IF THE LUMBAR IS WORKING, THE POWER IS THERE . IF EVERYTHING IS PLUGGED IN UNDER THE SEAT, THE SEAT MOTOR MAY BE FAULTY

2000 GMC Jimmy Power seat stopped working


Left side of the dash, to the right of the IP fuse block. Its a 25 amp circuit breaker, an aluminum cased breaker. CHECK FOR POWER ON THE SEAT SWITCH "A" TERMINAL AND GROUND ON THE "D" TERMINAL. IF YOU HAVE POWER AND GROUND THE SWITCH IS BAD.

you have to remove seat cover on back and bottom of seat . there is a long plastic clip sowed to seat covers . push in and un hook then you can pull seat cover up to see bolts. dont pull to hard or you will rip seat cover .

both my power seats are not working at all ..it first started with driver seat , to make seat move forward and back tilting the recliner was working then it went out ..not working either..then after a month later my pasenger seat stopped working as well... what might be the issue..please reply

2000 GMC Jimmy SLT will not shift into any 4 wd mode. Checked the fuse and even changed it although it wasn't blown. Have a ton of snow here and need the 4wd to work


there is a transfer case mod. on the right panel were your fot would be on pass front seat . thats the problem . 2 open glove box and look up 3 digit code i think its np1 or np8 . then go to
car-part.com and buy used to save big very easy to replace remove plastic panel and there should be alum. box with 2 plugs hope this will get you going

Jimmy 2000 sle no power seat


I had the problem with the front seat not working also. It was the connector under the drivers seat that was loose.
