A density graph for all the possible heights between 0 inches and 80 inches is in the shape of a rectangle. What is the value of the density graph in this interval?

That is normal behavior. The log functions are not defined if the argument (x value ) is negative.

Instructions
  1. Measure the rectangle length, width and height. For example, 8 inches long, 6 inches wide, 10 inches high.
  2. Multiply the length by the height, then double the product. With this example, 8 inches multiplied by 10 inches results in 80 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 160 square inches.
  3. Multiply the width by the length, then double the product. With this example, 6 inches multiplied by 8 inches equals 48 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 96 square inches.
  4. Multiply the height by the width, then double the product. With this example, 10 inches multiplied by 6 inches results in 60 square inches, which multiplied by 2 equals 120 square inches.
  5. Sum the amounts from Steps 1 through 3 to find the rectangle surface area. So adding 160, 96 and 120 square inches results in 376 square inches.

W=L-5 (in inches)
P=2(L+W)=2(L+L-5)=2(2L-5)
Use distirbutive property of multiplication with respect to addition to open up the parentheses (brackets)
P=4L-10.
Set P= 50 (inches), to get 4L-10=50
Solve for L: Do it'!
Find W= L (the one you just found) -5 =

Now, with W the value you just calculated
the new length is L'=-4+3W
and the new perimeter is P'=2(L'+W)

How to calculate the weihgt of circular cones


(1/3) x pi x radius2 x height x density = pounds

where ::


radius = radius of base in inches

density = pounds per cubic inch

height = height in inches

(or you could use feet, meters, cm, mm for radius & height and use kg for density or wahtever units you wish as long as the units are consistent)

The graph should be shaped like the letter v with a point at (0, 1.5)
The numerical answer is the set of all positive y
If you're calculator does toy have the two absolute value lines; look for a button that says "abs"

Press [Y=]. In the Y1= line, type [cos] [6] [ALPHA] [X] [)]

Problems seeing graph on calculator....think it has something to do with limits set on window....what do I do

I take your word for it. If graph is out of range you should zoom out.
But first try [ZOOM][6:Ztandard]. If you still see nothing, press [WNIDOW] and set XMIN=-100, XMAX=100, YMIN=-100, YMAX=100.
Otherwise you must know a few things about the behavior of the function you try to hraph
1. If X is always positif, set XMIN=0
2.If X is always negative, set XMAX=0
3. If Y has only positive values, set YMIN=0
4. If Y has only negative values, set YMAX=0

You can also calculate Y for X=0. Let Y(0) be that value. Then you try to have the Y-Values centerd around it: YMIN=Y(0)-10 and YMAX=Y(0)+10.

You can try this:
K>y>0, L>x>0, where K and L are any constants.
If you need a rectangle that is not parallel to the axes, use the formulae for the rotation of the axes and replace the small x, y in the above inequalities with the following values
x = XcosA - YsinA; and y = XsinA + YcosA
where capital X and Y denote the new x and y after rotation, A is the angle of rotation measured anticlockwise from the x-axis.
