The kink in the hose should not have caused anything to burn out. There are no pumps in the fridge - normal water pressure is sufficient.
There's a pair of solenoid valves in the back - one for the icemaker and one for the water dispenser. They operate independently but are usually built into a single assembly. If the electro-magnetic coil is burned open on one or both of them, then you need to replace the valve assembly.
Another possibility is frozen water in the line.
